Once a county in its own right but then recently replaced by the three counties of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.

Places to visit while here include the magnificent mountainous national park of the Brecon Beacons as well as its neighbour, the Black Mountain Range. Also in the region of Carmarthenshire are the ruins of Laugharne Castle and The Boathouse home of famous welsh poet Dylan Thomas.

Ceredigion is widely known for its pretty pastel coloured Georgian housed harbour of Aberaeron, while Pembrokeshire offers rolling and lush green countryside and the Carmarthen Bay resort of Tenby.

A less obvious thing to consider when making holiday bookings are the savings that can be made by booking airport parking online. The following link to airport parking will take you to a site that offers a number of different options at most UK airports. It also lists a number of hotels that offer free parking when you book an overnight stay.
